On the move

Aidan has started to crawl properly now - and he's fast! He actually started crawling a bit when we were in California for Christmas, but he's mastered it now. Poor Harvey doesn't get a minute's peace these days!

Although Harvey and Aidan are good friends. The other day the 3 of us were lying in bed, and Harvey jumps up on the bed. As usual, Aidan reaches out to grab Harvey. In most cases, Harvey very wisely gets out of the way. But in a rare moment of kindness (or maddnes??), Harvey also reached out his paw and they touched paw and hand! It was E.T. phone home-esque. Very cute.
Aidan is also very good (and quick!) at pulling himself to standing and cruising (walking holding onto furniture) now. Needless to say, many of our possessions are moving further north (onto shelves, etc.) to keep Aidan from grabbing them.

We seem to finally be getting somewhere with weaning these days. Aidan is now eating cheese, lamb and fish, and is having coqs milk with his cereal at breakfast. He's even eating cheerios! It is SUCH a relief that we have been able to introduce him to such a variety of foods and his reflux hasn't flared up! It seems we may have turned a corner with the reflux, and I have to say I'm relieved. We had a paediatrician's appointment last week, and he was happy with the fact that Aidan was tolerating a better variety of foods, but wasn't overly pleased about his weight gain. So he's keeping Aidan on his medication for the next few months until our next appointment.

In other news, Aidan is now in cloth nappies during the day. I'm pleased we finally got around to doing this as I was planning to do this from the start, but one thing or another popped up and I never got around to it. He looks pretty cute in them!
